Can I add some parts to convert it to a charging system, just to keep the batteries up on a sailboat?

Thanks for any help"

"If you have a socket for an A

"If you have a socket for an AC lighting connection you may just be able to buy a charging lead as an accessory (that incorporates a rectifier) that plugs in there.

If you don't Find your engine here http://shop2.evinrude.com/ext/index.aspx?s1=bf6ad09c53cead335fcfd8a6471c0f7f

Look at the "magneto" diagram and you will need the stator, the rectifier, the terminal block and the lead (#33, 43, 45, 17) together with all the associated terminals and screws.
But check the engine out first before you buy.

To gild the lilly also #39 from the engine cover diagram to make the exit for the cable.

If you have the socket but can't get the charging lead it means you already have the stator fitted so you won't need that."
