"I have a 1970 Searay with the 2.5 4cyl.Iron Duke. I had a stall. Boat started right back up. When I hit the throttle the ampmeter maxed & stayed maxed unless at idle. It didn,t seem to hurt anything that I could tell. What should I look at? Thanks."

I'd be looking at the Alternator,+ or the Voltage Regulator, if so equiped...
Could be the Starter, or it's related Wiring too I suppose..."

How high of an amperage does the gauge show? eg 60 amps, 80 amps.
