1984 115 merc seri# 6526655 no fire on 135 plugs
replaced switch box fixed problem. do i need to replace the other box . the new box i installed
is a cdi }
 
Both. Always. You need matches

Both. Always. You need matches sets of those so they do not fight each other until one is dead again. Or the motor is dead from pinging. I recommend the stator as well if it is 10 years old. To much juice coming out of there (spike) overloading stuff is also common.
