Sounds like you have a fritzed gasket or o ring.

Weep hole is on top of the sha

Weep hole is on top of the shaft that runs from the pulley. It is dripping probably two drips per sec into the bilge.

Replace the pump i assume?

When you remove the pump you may want to check the input shaft for side to side play. If none is noticable you could reasonably change the seal (and impeller while you are at it), and be back up and running.

If its a composite body pump the best thing to do is replace it as Kurt suggested.
