"it depends on how much your willing to spend anything is possible, I think I read in another post that 4.3 long blocks are going for something like 4500.00 but I havent personally shoped for one. it may very a little in your area as for matching up the mounts will have to be changed and you will probably have to figure out a way to mount the throttle cabe and shift cable. as for the outdrive matching up I'm not even sure which one you have????"

You will need an exhaust Y pipe. It bolts right up to your transom asembly.
You will need new front motor mounts. Your 4.3 may come with them anyway. If not they are easy to get. Same as all V-8's.
You will need to switch to a 1.81 drive ratio. Your is likely a 1.98.
All else is a direct swap.
Make sure you have enough side room in your doghouse. The 4.3 is 29.25 inches wide with manifolds. You will need a coupe oif inches of clear space on each side.
It is 27.625 inches from the center of the rear mount eyes to the front of the damper pulley.
The rear mount eyes are 9.5 inches wide center to center.
