2000 Mercury 150xl saltwater s
2000 Mercury 150xl saltwater series outboard runs great and pisses fine at idle and when in neutral. But when I get her up on plane the overheat alarm sounds so I stop and realize she will not piss at all. Get her home and drop the engine in my oversized cooler full of water start it up and pisses fine once the thermostats open. I replaced the water pump and the thermostats last weekend. I was only running for literally five minutes and the only thing shooting out of the piss hole was steam. Any help would be appreciated. My only next step is to take it to D&R Boats and take a second mortgage on my house to have them fix it. THanks}
