" I`m an OMC die hard, but because of there recent trouble and having to replace my Evinrude,I`m looking into the Mercury product line. I`m interested in a 2001 125 2-stroke 4 cylinder. (carbureted)
I`m curious of there performance and reliability in this class of engine.
Is there anyone out there that give me an honest opinion for this engine, good or bad? "
 
these are good motors but buy

these are good motors but buy as new as possible about 92 and back merc had a problem with the spacing around the crank berings it wasnt big enough and the berings where buring up witch means power head blows keep newer than that and you will get one fine dependible motor
