I have a 2004 150hp engine wit

I have a 2004 150hp engine with dual steering cables and my front cable is frozen. Any suggestions on how to unfreeze it?
 
did it happen to "freeze&#

did it happen to "freeze" just after greasing it?
If so I have a good idea why and how to remidy the problem

im not sure when it froze i ran the boat a month ago and greased it when i came in but when i went to use it again it was froze

The system must be greased when the push rod is retracted or the grease will cause a hydrolic lock .
And don't over grease it.
As beckerjs suggests, remove the grease nipple and slowly try the system and it should push the excess grease out."

thank you for all the suggestions but i couldn't get any of them to work. I guess i'm just going to have to buy a new cable.
