Bad Gas Out of curiosity

"Depends on why it's bad.

"Depends on why it's bad. If it's just old, the octane drops and you can have knock or pinging and loss of power. If it has water in it, there'll be loss of power and inconsistant surging if the water isn't evenly distributed (individual droplets).

Take a fuel sample and look at it. If it looks or smells drastically different from fresh gas, get rid of it. Properly."
