"I have a 24 volt minnkota troll motor hooked to 2 marine batteries. I want to know if I can hook a 12 Volt fish finder to the system and get the proper voltage, can I hook to 1 battery and get the 12 I need or will I get 24 because the batteries are connected in a series???

you will get only 12 volt if y

you will get only 12 volt if you connect only to the + and - posts of just one battery. put a tester on it if you are not sure.

"To prevent possible ground loops and interference from the troller, connect any electronics to the battery that has the negative trolling motor cable connected to it. 12V electronics will work if connected to the other battery but it would be best to hook to the other one."
