"I have a 1995 Yamaha 90hp 2 stroke. When the motor is trimmed up (without the trim towing latch locked) the motor slowly drops down after a few hours. If I trim the motor up and down a few times then lower it using the bleed (? on side of outboard bracket) screw, then tighen the bleed screw) and trim motor back up it is ok for a few days. What is the problem?
Thanks Duncan"

"Duncan,

I am assuming that when you refer to a "bleed" screw, you are talking about the manual release valve, which allows you to raise and lower the engine by hand.

Maybe the o-ring on the valve needs to be replaced, or maybe the valve is damaged.
