I recently got a merc 650 and

I recently got a merc 650 and was told it ran last summer but the control is stuck in reverse. How do I get it back to neutral?? Is there anyway to make it move easier?? If I need to replace it or the cables where is the best place to find them for sale?? Any help would be great.

"remove cable end at engine, then try to shift engine into neutral. Shift control box with cable disconected to verify that cable is bad.
Don't shift engine into reverse without the engine running, tears up cables"

Cannot select reverse gear wit

Cannot select reverse gear with Mercontrol on 65 H.P. Merc e/n 834-3261 - don't know year . Can select reverse without lever cables connected. Is there a procedure for adjusting cables.
