for a tamd41d what is the tran

for a tamd41d what is the transmission model and gear ratio? I've called and looked around a lot places. Is it HS1-A with the ratio 1.96:1 or 2.10:1? Where is a good place to shop for a used one or should we rebuild?

Nothing with same crankshaft centerline to output shaft centerline. ZF has one with down angle output shaft.

The Volvo MS and HS1 gears hav

The Volvo MS and HS1 gears have a drop of 3.5"down between input shaft centerline and output flange centerline. There are adapters available to mount ZF gears on the Volvo but drop down is larger with the ZF. If installed engine would have to go up to keep same shaft alignment. Length of gear may be different also.
