Out for a weekend of fishing when 33 miles from port we lost the engine. turns out the 4th cyl rod was thrown and cracked the engine block. There were less than 2000 hours on the engine and never but never taken above 5500 rpms. Meticulous maintenace. Has anyone else experienced a thrown rod with so few hours?
