"A cooler slid and pressed against the trim motor switch on the throttle while trailering. When we arrived the trim motor would not work, but it did heat up. Figured it seized up. To be able to use the boat a little I manually ajusted the trim and locked it in a stationary position. After boating for an hour or so the oil light and intermitant alarm came on. I shut down immediatly and looked in the oil resevoir, it had half oil, so I filled, and turned key and started the motor. Oil light and alarm did not go off. For giggles I tried trim motor and to my astonisment it was working now. I tried several time before that and it never worked. Now oil light and alarm sounds when key is turn to ACC and remains on. Oil sensor switch bad? Coincidence with trim motor not working? Short? Please help if you can. Thanks, Brian"
