Been searchin the archives and readin everything I can about these great Tohatsu engines. I was fixin to plop down $2500.00 on a new 25HP Yamaha with no electric start when I found my nearly new 1996 Tohatsu 30HP for $600.00. My motor is checking out at 152 PSI on both cylinders. I'm thinking this is kinda high compaired to my other brand motors. What does the tohatsu factory say 1996 30HP sposed to have on compression readings? Anyone know off hand? This info would be greatly appreciated. And Thank You Guru for answerin my previous question on compression!!!!

99.5 on the factory Jap gauge.

99.5 on the factory Jap gauge....The average gauge in the U.S will read 100-140....That's why the reading isn't important as long as it is even.
