1994 DT150 no spark all 3 cyls on one side

yes unplug them from the cdi b

yes unplug them from the cdi box
crank over motor
you need at least .7v to fire
should be over 1v

here are readings I got to gro

here are readings I got to ground on wires going to cdi from ignition control unit
blue = .697 vdc
light green = .697 vdc
blue/yellow = .665 vdc
white/green = .650 vdc
green/yellow = .680 vdc
orange = .680 vdc

pulser/trigger coil readings w

pulser/trigger coil readings were
white/black to ground = 3.88 vdc
red/black to ground = 3.86 vdc
red/white to ground = 3.23 vdc

the readings I took before were from ignition control unit that feeeds cdi [EFI motor]

"i know it is going to be good

"i know it is going to be good but just do it so we have a reference

then the next is to ohm the coils primary
unplug them and touch the leads to each wire
red to black/whilte, black to black
you want less than 1 ohm per primary

then test sencondary
black to black coil wore, then red to the spark plug boot end

you might have bad coils but i doubt that

if those test good, bad cdi unit

but to make sure you can swap coil wores around and see if you get sparky on the other side"

"I'm not sure I understand

"I'm not sure I understand what you mean about checking stator before cdi.do you mean condensor charging coils,if so these are the readings
black/red to green = 52.5 vdc
white/red to white/blue =178.5 vdc
hope this is what you needed."

BLACK/RED GREEN
that is your

BLACK/RED GREEN
that is your 12v charging
that is good

white/r w/b is your stator
that is good also

so now ohm the coils

"ok i'll check tomorrow mo

"ok i'll check tomorrow morning. there are also three yellow wires I thought those were the 12v charging on the electrical print in the selco manual they go to the rectifier/regulator
the black/red,green,white/red,and white/blue are going to the cdi"

I was just curious thanks for

I was just curious thanks for all the help I'll check the ignition coils tomorrow I know that they are probably good so I guess all that is left to do is change the cdi.

here are the readings I got fo

here are the readings I got form ignition coils
primary[black&black/white wires]=
#1cyl = 0.5 ohms
#2cyl = 0.6 ohms
#3cyl = 0.5 ohms
#4cyl = 0.5 ohms
#5cyl = 0.6 ohms
#6cyl = 0.5 ohms
the secondary test where black wire to black meter lead and red meter lead to spark plug boot I did'nt read getany ohms for any of the coils

"coils good
try the black/w t

"coils good
try the black/w to end of spark plug lead
u may have to pull the boot off
on the boot there should be a number also, if u have the yellow boots
you want to ohm the boots
that number will be the same reading on ur meter"

"I checked black/white wire to

"I checked black/white wire to end of spark plug boot and got no ohms, not shure what you mean by ohm boots"

"yea they are yellow,but they

"yea they are yellow, but they look like they have some type of glue on each end and I dont want to tear them up trying to pull the boots off to expose the spark plug end"

from ground to the spark plug

from ground to the spark plug boot u should get a reading
might have to wiggle the spark plug boot meter lead

i've checked black coil wi

i've checked black coil wire to spark plug boot and engine ground to spark plug boot with primary wires hooked up and still get no ohms on all of them . my meter is a digital and reads to meg ohms so it should read it if there is any resistance. you think there is a ground issue?

set meter to k ohms checked bl

set meter to k ohms checked black wire and black/ white wire on primary side to end of spark plug [boot] made sure that I was touching metal clip inside boot on all of them and I did'nt get any ohms. What type of reading should I get?

"in my manual I see the test y

"in my manual I see the test you are talking about, but it looks like the mount[or core which is metal] to spark plug end [boot]is where you take reading. my coils are molded in plastic no where to take reading"

wait you have 12 plugs!
you g

wait you have 12 plugs!
you go from spark plug boot to spark plug boot of the same coil

sorry about that

"no problem I did check that b

"no problem I did check that but I can't remember what I got, so I'll test this evening when I get off work"

Here are the readings I got of

Here are the readings I got off secondary of ignition
#1 18.18 k ohms
#2 23.97 k ohms
#3 24.27 k ohms
#4 23.53 k ohms
#5 24.66 k ohms
#6 26.06 k ohms
Hope these are good
