"Hi, I have a 2000 200hp Suzuki engine that was fine, but is now "sputtering" on all speeds. We used to run it at 3800 rpm, but now it tops out at 3000 rpm and sounds really rough. When you slow down from being on plane it sputters badly and feels like your going to stall. And after being at 3000 rpm it will sputter at all speeds for the remainder of the time you run it. It also used to cut out on idle, but now cuts out in nuetral as well. Does this sound like a simple fix or should I take it somewhere?"
