"We have a power trim piston that leaked. The marina where we keep our boat pulled it apart but said they couldn't fix it because Volvo Penta dosn't offer a resealing kit for them. We then took it to a hydraulic place where they resealed the piston. HELP! They're asking us, what should the torque setting be to close / reseal the piston? ...so that's why we took it to a Hydraulic business. Does anyone have info on what it should be?"

"According to Seloc, the piston bolt is to tightened to 63-87 ftxlbs in 1998 and later models. However, it does not state any specific torque for the end cap. To me, that means that the closing torque is not critical, since it is an o-ring what does the sealing."
