Vro disconnect problem

"92 johnson 120 v-4 disconnect

"92 johnson 120 v-4 disconnected vro ( unplug 4 wire connector, unplug the 2 wires from tank, capped oil inlet at pump and oil line ) its not running hot but seems to go into rpm reduction , 2500 to 3000 rpm, oh and yes mixed 50:1,,, is there a wire that should be reconnected or something????? thanks"
 
Do a compression test and chec

Do a compression test and check for spark on each cylinder that will jump a gap of 7/16"---if all OK than start on possible fuel problems.
