"I ordered and installed a CDI

"I ordered and installed a CDI voltage regulator for my 1997 Force 90 outboard. Everything seems to be working but the "Bench Test" instructions for the regulator say that I should get a resistance reading of about 45K Ohms between one Yellow lead and the Red lead and a "high reading" from the other Yellow lead to the Red lead. I get about 40K Ohms on both. Both the voltmeter on my dash (it reads about 13 volts with engine running)and the tachometer operate correctly and the engine fires right up.

Also, the two Yellow leads have the same type male
connecter, so I'm not sure which lead should be
connected to the two Yellow leads going to the engine. I suspect these leads from the regulator are each side of the diode bank built into it, probably used to prevent voltage leaking from the battery back to the regulator.

Can anyone offer some advice?
Thanks"

"I have a 1997 Force 90 HP. Occasionally, when i try to start it, the starter wheel pops up and engages, slightly turns the engine, and then goes back down and spins. Does anybody know what might be causeing this. Thank you"
