hp force be to big for this size of boat

You should have a something attached to your boat stating Max HP. If you can find nothing try posting the model and year of the hull. Maybe someone has the same and can help.
FYI...
My 16' trihull runabout is rated to 120 HP. My 90 HP is plenty strong for that.
