"I have a 1964, 40hp Johnson that's tiller steered and has electric and/or manual start. This motor starts and runs pretty good. On long runs my hand gets tired from having to hold the throttle open. Is there something on the market or something I could make that would make this easy? Also is there any way to get a little more power from my motor without hurting it or shortening its life? Thanks, Scott Woody"

"Why more power? For more speed, if so, change props to a more speed prop, same diameter but higher pitch. Regarding the throttle, you can put a control box with a cable to your throttle gearing at end of tiller, then put throttle control lever on box to full and let it sit there wide open or where you set it. If you want these parts let me know, I have them in stock. Would need some additional information though. Have a great day."
