I'm looking at a 1998 5 hp

I'm looking at a 1998 5 hp gamefisher outboard. /It is in good condition - what is a fair price for it? Is there an owner's manual available?

"Duane, I believe the Gamefisher line ceased in 1998 making it a "last off the line model".

In any event it will actually be a 5 horse "Force" outboard, which also ceased production all together when Merc scrapped the line in 98 or 99 - so a number of parts are already discontinued/no longer available from the mfg (Merc).

NADA pegs the book value between 160-180 bucks - personally I would be a little more generous and say 250 would be reasonable but definately that would be the high end on a fairly exceptional motor.

These can not demand the price of a better name brand (OMC's, Merc's, Yami's etc). Force was always a budget motor and the price should reflect that..."
