The set screw that pins the prop cone in place will not tighten. I believe the cone threads are stripped. Tried wrapping screw threads w/plumbers tape-no help.
My next thought is loc-tight or a new cone (if available).
Anyone have some thoughts on this?

"Heli-coil it or have a shop heli-coil it. If you don't know what a Heli-coil is, you can google it and route around the web about it or just ask someone. Basically, you drill it out a little larger, tap the hole with a special heli-coil tap, and screw in a threaded hole insert that brings it back to original size with steel (hopefully they make stainless inserts) threads, and the threads are much stronger than original threads. Many manufacturer's use heli-coils for thread strength reasons on original equipment, especially in aerospace applications.

"A heli-coil sounds like overkill-it is only a 1/4
inch pin w/a threaded end.
As it sits recessed, I re-inserted it and filled the recess w/silicone(GOOP) to prevent it backing out.
After ten hours running it is still holding."
