"I have a 1983 40 HP Mariner and I am sick of pulling the rope all the time to start it - especially as it is a bit temeramental. Anyway, I know it came in an electric start version from the manual and it even has a mounting ring which looks like it would hold a starter. Any ideas on what would need to be changed or added to make the conversion? Do you think a wreckers would be a good idea for parts as I don't want to spend a fortune."
