"Hi. I purchased a 2005 honda 4-stroke 40hp outboard motor. While looking throught the service manual, I came to the conclusion that it could be increased to 50hp by changing the main jets. Is this correct? Am I missing something? Thanks...Kevin"

You are right the bore stroke and major componets are the I think if notice th 40hp is measured 5500 and the 50 at 6000,"
