"Hello, Can some one tell me what the year made,and HP rating is on the above mentioned outboard? Who made it for MW, and where I might find a cowling and starter recoil? Help?????

Are you sure about the number? I don't see a 52005 in my index, but VWB-52006 was a 6HP, 1974, made by Chrysler for Montgomery Wards.

6HP @ 4500 RPM.

You might be able to get parts through a Mercury Marine dealer... they took over the Chrysler outboard line..."

"Thanks, I checked again and it is a VWB 52005 serial # 58x-1278. I found a parts catalogue on ebay for a VWB 52004A! Which makes me think that this is a 5hp! anymore help would be great! This motor has the gas tank attached to the top of the motor and the starter recoil apparently attachest to it with 4 nuts. it also seems like is supposed to have a cowl but not sure! Thanks!"

"Hi, I was recently given a Montgomery Ward 6hp "Sea King" Watercooled Outboard. I believe it was manufactured by Chrysler, but I'm unsure. Here are the #'s I have:
Model: VWB 52006
Serial: 47x21459

I've got the hp rating of 6hp at 4500rpb (I think that's right.) But I'm trying to find out where I can find parts, including (But not limited to) a water pump, as well as specs for Mixture, and plug gap. Thanks."
