I'm interested in the 4.3

I'm interested in the 4.3 vortex boat motor and or a boat made from glassport.

" The 4.3 vortex engine is essentially the same engine used by GM in their truck line. It was designed by taking a 350 small block and whacking the two end cylinders off of it. Very dependable engine, good power,but kind of heavy.

" Teh vortec has different heads than the regular GM marine motor. Pistons are also shaped different. The intake manifold is also different. Basically its design to atamize the fuel getter and get a cleaner burn. The vortec is also balanced. I have on in my boat and a standard GM block also,I can tell the difference in performance, The vortec uses less fuel is smoother, quieter, and more responsive. Excellent choice. "
