Has any one ever had a brand n

Has any one ever had a brand new primer bulb go bad the first day you tried to use it? I purchased a new one from Wal-Mart and I think it quit pumping the first day I took the boat out. Either this happened or I have another problem in the fuel system.

If you give a good description of what happened to lead you to change it in the first place and then what happened after you changed it, it will be a little easier to try and give you some advice as to what to troubleshoot..."
 
I replaced the old bulb becaus

I replaced the old bulb because it was old and had become hard. the new one worked great at first. Then about a week later I took the boat out and it would not get stiff. Very strange problem.
 
So it is defective ------Or yo

So it is defective ------Or you are pumping air (leak in the tank) or the float valve is staying open.Take your pick as to which it might be.
