Can't find a soft plug for

Can't find a soft plug for my upper half of my outdrive............. alfa one ............. keep getting discontinued part from everyone....
 
called a "welsh plug"

called a "welsh plug" no need to remove that .it covers a access hole to the water jacket in the upper

"I didn't remove it, somebody did that for me along with a knife through my bellows..

I tried a rubber universal plug and it sealed the hole fine....BUT after 6 hours of pulling my outdrive on and off.... I figured out that why I couldn't get it to go into foward gear...The space the rubber took up was for my shifting arm...so when I pushed the outdrive on the last half inch it would put it in neutral and bottom out against rubber.."

It also seals the shift shaft cavity. plan on replacing the shift cable too. I`ll see if
i have a junk unit that i could pop one out
