"I ran a compression test on the motor
and had 145 psi on cylinders 2,3,4 cylinder 1
had only 30 psi.
I put some oil in and re ran the test and cylinder 1 went to 50 psi
I pulled the valve cover off and the gap (valve lash??) was 0.009 for all exhaust valves for the intake valves it was 0,006 on cylinder 2,3,4, but cylinder 1 intake I couldn't even get a 0.003" feeler gauge under it.
A friend said the valve needs to be re-shimmed that the intake valve isn't closing.
My questions are
What type of shims?
is there a kit?
What is the proper gap supposed to be?
Is there a Procedure?
Any hints, thoughts, or suggestions?
