Battery Switch Question

"I am looking at a Guest battery switch w/ AFD, will this switch (using AFD) work with a Evinrude 70Hp Outboard 1992. I know I can use it without and just have a switch for my batteries but i was hoping to utilize the AFD, but I am not sure of the wiring using a outboard (if at all possible)"

"alternator field disconnect. not recommended, or usefull on outboard. the altenator (stator) is powering the whole ignition system, not just charging the batterys."

The alternator coils are on the same core as the ignition coils, but the two systems are totally separated.
The alternator system does not have any field connection, so the requested feature is not relevant on this charging system."
