"I have a 1956 seaking/gale mfg 12hp I was wondering if any one knew if there was oil in the crank case (not lower gear case) crank case where piston rods are. the reason i ask is it looks like light oil, 10w-30... is blowing out under my points cover at the upper crank seal. also there is a small copper tube that go's from the bottom of the crank case to the top on the right side of the motor, side oppisite the tiller arm. It looks like it is an oiling tube, but to my understanding all 2 strokes are lubed by the oil gas mix. Ive only ever added like 2 tbl spoons of gear oil to snowmobile engines on a new rebuild to aid in the brake in, so light oil in the crank case would be a new one to me."
