"Finally got my "new"

"Finally got my "new" Laguna 16 sailboat underway today. I picked up a 2 stroke 3.5hp for her. Had the carb cleaned and checked out, checked compression, replaced impeller, changed lower unit oil. It starts okay..but at idle she's kind of rough and a bit loud. Get her up to 1/3 or 1/2 throttle or so and she is fine. I'm thinking that is just characteristic of the single cylinder 2 strokes...true statement?"

"Normal "characteristic" is a relative term. I find all 1 cylinder engines, 2 or 4-stroke, to be equally rough and loud."
