"Guys, the zerk fitting on top

"Guys, the zerk fitting on top of the steering joint, on top of the bell housing, does this lube just the steering bearing or the intermediate bearing as well? If no, then how does one go about greasing the intermediate bearing? Thanks ahead of time!"

"The one on top of the steerin

"The one on top of the steering fork lubricates the splines where the steering fork is attached to the tiller arm.

For the bearings in the driveshaft, most bellhousings do have on top a zerk fitting or grease cup (see part 66 on the link)

However, some other bellhousing do not have that fitting. In this case, the only way I found to pump some grease into the bearings is by pulling the u-joints yoke from the drive shaft, then using a grease pump with a flattened tube that can slide under the bellhousing outer lip seal. A bit mickey-mouse, but it works.

The alternative, of course, is installing sealed bearings so that you never have to grease them again."
