"I was going wide open down the river when it just died down to a fast idle, like it was half throttle. I thought it was getting air in the line so I replaced bulb and female connector. Then I replaced all four plugs, still only running half throttle. The plug wires are firing so the power box should be good. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks."

"Start with the basics - do a compression check - a blown gasket or chewed ring has a habit of a producing a significant drop in rpm's.

If compression is ok, then concentrate on the fuel system (since you say spark is good). Fuel pump may have a perforated diaphram or you could have a significant clog in the carbs..."
 
Also check to see if suspect c

Also check to see if suspect cylinders plugs are wet afte running engine. could be getting water into cylinders fouling plugs
