"Guys,
This site has an awful lot of info, but, I can't find anything on this topic...
I just got a sweet deal on a 1961 QD-22 10hp Johnson outboard. Runs like a top and idles like a purring kitten. Got done testing it in a barrel, and after removing the motor from said barrel, there was chocolate shake running off the outdrive in very small trickle. Is there somewhere to get a new o-ring for this? I thought I saw a discussion relating to spaghetti seal? Is that the proper lingo for the lower unit seal? It was about 40 degrees out and motor has not been run in 2-3 years. She started on 3rd pull! Please tell me this isn't a fatal flaw.
Again, you guys are the outboard Mensas, thanks for the help.
Rick"
