"I have a 1986 Evinrude 175HP

"I have a 1986 Evinrude 175HP engine with low trim fluid. For the life of me, I cannot remove this screw. Is there any "trick"? Is it counterclockwise to remove it?

There's no sign of rust, and I am adding rust removal fluids for good measure. But it just will not budge.

I apologize in advance for this very basic question, but I'm new at this.

Thanks for the tip! It was just what the doctor ordered; couple good whacks and it loosened right up.
