"I plan on adding a 1600 watt

"I plan on adding a 1600 watt amp a 700 watt power converter, a radio, and 8 speakers to my boat. I already have two batteries with a perko switch.

I was planning on getting a new 2 gauge ground wire running from the engine ground to a fuse block for the amp and converter. the power wire running straight from the battery, and getting a different fuse box, so i can use the other one for the engine.

What do you guys think about the set up? Any other things i should do? thanks."
 
just the power right? and run

just the power right? and run the ground to the engine block ground. i don't think any of the grounds in the dash can handle the current that the amp and converter will draw.
 
i've looked at the back of

i've looked at the back of the engine and there is a bolt that the other grounds attach to. i was just going to terminate my ground wire with a looped connector and add it to the ones already there. is that the ground block you're refering to?
