I lost the prop cone on my 66

I lost the prop cone on my 66 Johnson 80hp outboard. I have not been able to find a replacement so in the meantime I have replaced the shear pin with a nut & bolt. Now when I throttle up and begin to put heavy load on the motor it feels like someone is putting in the clutch. Is this because of the prop cone?

"MCBax, You can get the prop rehubbed at a shop. If it is not in good shape, try Michigan wheel or an oMC dealer for a replacement."
