"I have a 1982 Chrysler 115hp Outboard Motor and when I put it in the water it will run for bout 5 -10 min on full throttle but if you leave it, it will shut down! After sitting about 20 min, it will run again. Why is it doing this? Please help, ANYONE!!!!!!"

"Test the ignition (easiest with a timing light) to see if you are losing spark when it quits. Sometimes a defect in one of the windings (stator or coil) will only show up when they get warm and expand the copper.
