    Default I have a 28 silverton with 360

I have a 28 silverton with 360's in it.It is a v drive configuration. My question is this:The intake port for the raw water cooled manifold is on the top of the end plate.Should I move it to one of the 3/4 "plug on the bottom of the manifold so it will fill from the bottom and expell any air in the system or leave it where it is?

    "Yes, no, and both!

    Yes: This is OSCO's recommendation.

No: A whole bunch of Marinettes (including mine) are plumbed that way and it works fine.

Both: I accidentally left out the copper tube that goes inside the manifold--and that one runs the coolest!

    Take your pick.

PS: I pity anyone who has to repack the shaft seal on a Vee-drive!"
