"I am installing a new wire ha

"I am installing a new wire harness on my 1988 350 magnum. The diagram shows going to the alternator a red with purple stripe, orange, purple and a black wire. My alternator does not have enough terminal as the diagram shows. I have a ground and a positive terminal.

Should I just elimiate the orange and purple or the red with purple stripe and the purple? Thanks."

"From the sound of it you have a 1 wire alt.(orange) in place of the standard 3 wire.(orange, red, purple).
just strap the other 2 out of the way and out of the bilge."
