heres another one how do you d

heres another one how do you determine the length of shaft either 20 or 25 i measured mine from top of impeller housing to end came up with 26 1/4 inches

This length of shaft is a generic term. It has to do with the transom of the boat.So 15" is considered short shaft and 20" is considered long shaft.THERE IS THE SAME AMOUNT OF MOTOR STICKING INTO THE WATER BELOW THE BOAT.The anti-cavitation plate should be ~ 1"-2" below the bottom of the boat.
