"I have a 1997 2 stroke 8 h.p. Yamaha outboard. The motor is used infrequently to power an inflatable, and is unused for months at a time. I keep having trouble with a stuck needle valve. I even had the carburetor rebuilt, and it is still an issue. I always run the engine dry before storing it. I suspect that draining the carb bowl would solve the problem, but I can't find a drain plug for the carburetor. Is there a drain plug? Any other advice?
