Last summer I serviced the fue

Last summer I serviced the fuel injectors to get rid of excessive smoke but I lost 1000RPM of each engine. Then I send them to a Bosch dealer in Italy. He told me that he replaced the Nozzles(860384) with new ones but I only gained 500RPM. The mechanic told me that he contacted Volvo and said that the whole injector should be replaced. Does it make sense?

Not usually needed. Holder is nothing but a spring loaded valve. Do not usually go bad. Loss of RPM could be something else. Lot of money for new injectors thst may not solve problem. Check elsewhere first.

"The problem is that before I serviced the injectors, the maximum engine revs on load was 4000RPM. Last year I serviced the turbo chargers as well and replaced the fuel and air filters with new ones. I cleaned the intercoolers as well.
