"Last fall while changing the

"Last fall while changing the LU oil, after installing the upper plug I pushed the last stroke of the pump into the the LU. Shortly there after I noticed oil dripping from the inside of the prop. There was no evidense of water intrusion in the drained oil. Do I have a bad prop shaft seal? If so, is that the only seal I should change? how hard is it to change?"

A few things here ---You really can not overfill a lower unit!The oil dripping is a COMMON thing and MOST rookies immediately think--" OH MY MOTHER THE MOTOR IS LEAKING " when all it is oil from the exhaust.It is most common in the driveway---- out on the river or lake it is spread out over 10 miles.
