I am looking for some informat

I am looking for some information on doing this project. transmisions are out of the boat and in my garage. any info would be helpfull

Never done a marine tranny, but auto trannies are similar; First, get the right seals; next, drill a small hole (about 1/8 inch) in the metal part of the old seal, screw in a sheet metal screw, and pry it out. Sometimes you need to do this is several places. Lube the shaft area and seal with tranny oil and top the new one in place. Be sure it doesn't cook on you, and use a plastic pipe the size of the seal's metal jacket as your pusher--don't just whack on it with a hammer!
