A buddy of mine has a 35 hp evinrude that the power pack went bad. i had one off a 4hp 2cyl. the number was not the same but all the plugin was the same and it fired right up my ? is will it hurt not being the same number that came off his motor?

if you enter the original number in our searchbox on the home page of this site it will show the superced omc numbers. you might need to enter both numbers if you are not sure which is older.
